Consultant Urologist

Job Description:

HCL International has fantastic job opportunity for a Consultant Urologist to work in a Treatment Centre based in Manchester.

This is a new post created for the Greater Manchester NHS Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services.

The scope of work will include paper clinical triage of referrals from General Practitioners, face to face clinical assessment of patients, treatment planning and onwards referral to secondary care if indicated. Minor procedures suitable for a clean room environment as per HCC guidance will be performed.

This may include for example:

• Flexi-cystoscopy
• Vasectomies
• Urethral dilatation
• Removal of Ureteric stents

Hours of work
A full time post will be 40 hours per week (10 sessions of four hours). The appointee will be
Expected to work a shift system Monday - Sunday. Of the 4 hours; 3,5 hours will be allocated
to direct patient care and 0.5 hours for supporting administrative activities

Requirements:

• Experience of teach junior medical staff and students.
• Ability to teach clinical operative and practical procedures.
• Appropriate accreditation with relevant Deanery as a trainer.
• Full current GMC registration on appropriate specialist Register.
