Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctor in ESSEX

HCL International recruits an Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctor for a fulltime permanent post on behalf of a well known NHS Trust based in ESSEX.

Main Responsibilities:

• The post holder will be responsible for assessing a wide variety of medical, surgical and paediatric emergencies.
• They will also be responsible for supervising FY2 and FTSTA doctors.
• They will be expected to liaise closely with the consultants.
• They will be expected to attend the regular Middle Grade teaching program.
• The post holder will work on average 48 hours a week on a shift pattern including nights and weekends. There will be identified CDP time equivalent to 1 PA a week, allocated that could include continuing professional development, audit, appraisal, teaching, training and research the list is not exhaustive.

Requirements:

• Recognized medical qualification
• GMC Full Registration or to be in the process of obtaining it
• Wide experience in all aspects of acute emergency work
• 18 months experience in A&E post registration
• Ability to assess a situation and communicate to senior colleagues.
• Ability to initiate solutions to unexpected situations
