Staff Nurse - Oncology Outpatients - Jeddah

We are looking for a western-trained Staff Nurse for the Oncology Outpatient Department of a 531-bed hospital in Jeddah.

Approximately 3,000 patients are seen each month in this department. The team comprises qualified Oncology Nurses and Physicians and there is a Palliative Care Consultant. There is also a dedicated Paediatric Oncology team.

Procedures carried out include long (up to 8 hours) and short chemotherapy regimes, transfusions, lumbar punctures, paracentesis, colposcopy and conscious sedation. There is a phlebotomy service and a satellite pharmacy to supply intravenous drugs and take-home medication.

The unit is open from 0800 - 1700 Saturday to Wednesday. There are 47 physician clinics each week and there?s a full-time nurse clinic. In addition there is a walk-in service to provide immediate care for patients experiencing mild disease or treatment-related symptoms.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with at least two years experience in Oncological Nursing.
